Yesterday was the girls' 4 yo check-up, and oh my was it tough!!!! They each had 4 shots, a TB test, and blood drawn.........All three of us were exhausted by the time it was all over......
The shots were just regular immunizations, the TB test was a repeat, just in case, and the blood was to test Emma's bones, liver, and kidneys condition due to her malnutrition, and they both had their led levels tested. WOW, they are so strong!!!! They fought me and the nurses the whole time. The worst part was that while one was getting a procedure done, the other one was watching and screaming thinking about what was getting ready to happen to her. ARGH.
The results from Emma's bones, liver, and kidneys check are back , and she is fine, everything is working properly. We will see what the led levels are once we get those results back.
Emma's surgery is two weeks away. We have started talking about it, and she seems to understand, but I am sure she will be terrified - especially judging by the reaction she had to the needle yesterday......
The floors are done at both houses, so we can now take a break, at least until we move!
What a month!!!!!
Love to all,
Laura

Oh what a day - God Bless you strong Mommy. The kids have their two and four year appointments next week. Brody is taking them b/c I am working full-time at an area Middle School for a counselor on leave. Should I pre-warn him about the shots? You're moving. Where? Are you swapping houses?
Take Care!
